Little Lending Library
May 2026 - As we planned, we finally installed a Little Lending Library in South Poinsettia Park. At left, Katie Pierce and Alan Pariser put on the final touches. The Library is located on the corner of Clematis Street and South Osprey Avenue. Thanks also George Iacono & Hank Wade for helping in the installation, and to Hank Wade for allowing us to install the library on his property.
Residents can deposit their books in confidence, knowing that a fellow resident may take advantage of the donation and enjoy reading a gently used volume. We are currently reviewing possible locations for another Library in our neighborhood.
We are hoping to install the second library later in 2026 if the neighborhood desires one. The current planned location is on private property at the corner of South Osprey & Bougainvillea, or possibly near or on on the Southside School grounds if we can get approval.
Note that Library locations must be on private property, since City regulations do not allow installation on City owned property or right of way w/o specific authorization. Also let us know if you would like to assist in this project in either Construction, Installation or Long Term Care of the Library.
