STREET CAPTAINS - Are the conduits between the SPPNA Board and Residents & Businesses on individual streets See Your Street Captain Link below for more details)
Starting in June 2026, the Street Captain assignments were divided into 3 Zones, each headed by a Zone Captain. The 3 Zone Captains are invited to attend all Board meetings, and act collaboratively as the intermediary between the Board and the individual Street captains within each Zone. Individual Street Captain Assignments to each street are unchanged.
The SPPNA goal is to encourage open lines of communication between the city, the SPPNA Board of Directors and members of the neighborhood by encouraging community visibility, problem solving within our neighborhood and encouraging ongoing socialization.

WHAT WE DO
The Board and Committee Chairs represent and advocate for the neighborhood’s interests and concerns with multiple entities such as City/County/State Officials, Developers and Housing Planning Committees, Utilities, Florida Department of Transportation (DOT), the Coalition of City Neighborhood Associations (CCNA) and other organizations which make short and long-term decisions which impact our neighborhood. We work closely with them all to ensure that our residents and businesses have a voice in our own future: our goal is to maintain and improve the character of our safe, friendly, historic, peaceful, beautiful neighborhood, and protect and enhance the value of our investments.
